Serious Efforts

As our last 4 events of 2014 are upon us to both organize and produce work for Shimoda and I are doing our darnedest to work smarter. We each have our sites set on what we want to present at the next showcase - the Fall/Winter Couture and Doll show. We're  leaving the doll making to masters Francine Haskins, Paula Whaley and Alice Swann (at least for this show). I decide to work on some crochet outerwear including some long mittens. I'll try and post a few pictures as I progress. Michelle Bishop (whose crochet work will also be featured in this show) and I have a few work dates planned to grind out what we have already fully created in our minds. God grant us nimble fingers and a smart use of time, and limited access to the wine cabinet!

 Artist Studio Tour

 The Strivers Art Circuit "SAC"is a FREE self-guided walking tour through Harlem's art venues and artist studios in the Strivers Row corridor.  This event is a collaboration created to develop a hub of arts activity increasing visibility and exposure for visual art entities in Harlem. This 7th annual  event will take place October 4th & 5th 2014 and is part the Harlem Arts Alliance's annual Arts Advocacy Week festivities.
